Hello again World,

Once again I nearly fell out of my chair when I found more fractional patents online. X8952H (X8952 1/2) is particularily interesting. A search for pn/x at the USPTO site turns up all the x patents including the fractional x patents- all that is except X8952H . The direct link to this patent works however. The rest of the links to the left are fractional patents that I either overlooked or weren't available when I created the original list of fractional patents.

It looks like I'll have to install a seat belt in my patent searching chair ;-)

Update September 29, 2010: I discovered X1400 1/2 online and have added a link to it in the left frame. The docid is X001400H but the second page says the patent number is 1400 1/2. There is no X! It has an issue date of November 8, 1839. Thanks to Jeff Joslin for pointing this out. Pull up Utility Patent 1,400 to see the notice that it was issued as Patent No. 1,400 1/2! Utility patent 1399 has an issue date of November 7, 1839. Just when I thought I'd seen it all...
